Opening Statement - An Advocate for Working People

  • Former small business owner who employed more than 3,000 people during 25 years of operations.
  • Coauthor of San Francisco's minimum wage ordinance in 2003

I am running for Congress because 60% of
the U.S. discretionary budget is now being devoted to the military.  That is wrong.

Closing Statement - Why Vote for a Green?

The Democrats took control of Congress in 2006 with a mandate to end the war in Iraq.

They did not.

The Democrats are complicit with Republicans in escalating this fiasco of a war, and it is helping to bankrupt our country both financially and morally. I think it's time for change.
